PPWGA Team Play

Would you like the opportunity to play different courses around the area?  One of the terrific benefits of being a member of the PPWGA is the ability to play on our golf team, as part of the Pike’s Peak Team Association.  Throughout the season, from May through September, we play roughly nine matches against other clubs in the area.  Many of our matches are played on Fridays, so this works great for working women and/or mothers to take off work to participate.

We field two teams of eight players, with the lowest eight handicaps playing on the A team and the next eight on the B team.  The first 16 women to sign up on Foretees are selected to play, so sign up early!  We have a wide range of handicaps participating, so team is not restricted to the elite competitive golfers at the club.

During play, you are paired with another teammate from Perry Park, and you play against two players from the opposing club in a match play format.  Each teammate plays her own ball, and only one net ball counts!  The team with the best net ball wins the hole and scores a point.  The Club with most points wins the match.

Half of the matches are played at home and half of them are played at courses around the region.  So, you get the opportunity to play some great courses for the cost of only a cart fee.  Currently, the clubs in our region include:  Pueblo Country Club, Kissing Camels Golf Club, Eisenhower Golf Course, Country Club of Colorado, Colorado Springs Country Club, Castle Pines Country Club, Broadmoor Country Club, Country Club at Woodmoor and Patty Jewett Golf Course.

Join us for one (or all!) of the matches.  To play, you must be a member of PPWGA with an established handicap.  Sign up is available on Foretees under the Events tab.
